I have many times suggested over the years to make sure your golf equipment fits you as well as it can, and that it is in good condition to help you play your best. Your grips are the most wearable part of your golf clubs and nothing feels better than having fresh properly fit grips installed, but how often do you check the grip on your putter? We often tend to forget about the club that we use the most in golf as we don’t tend to put the same kind of wear and tear on the putter as we do on the full swing clubs. I can assure you however that the ‘fresh grip feeling’ is just as noticeable with your putter, if not more noticeable. The other thing to consider is that you have countless options in the size, shape, texture and material for a putter grip, finding a grip that fits and feels just right and inspires confidence when putting is paramount to sinking putts. Personally, I can attest that my quest for the ‘perfect’ putter grip may never end as we keep seeing more and more choices and options on the market but I can tell you that sometimes putting a new grip on an ‘old friend’ is just what it takes to revitalize your putting confidence… We all know that when we putt with confidence we sink more putts!
