Bend at the hips and unlock the knees… hands under the shoulders and eyes over the ball… shoulders are the engine not the wrists… putter face under your nose and the ball under your target eye… body stays quiet as the shoulders move the club… short on the way back and long on the way through… stroke ‘through’ the ball not ‘at’ the ball… swing back smoothly and through just twice as fast… keep your eyes and nose down through impact… don’t follow the ball to the hole… stroke with confidence not with violence… repeat the routine, repeat the routine, repeat the routine… Of course there are many more thoughts but these are enough to get you started while there is still snow on the ground. And if you are unsure of what any of those putting thoughts are all about, come and see us at the Academy and we’ll guide you through it. See you on the practice green!
Have fun, Matt Truong
